COWBOY ACTION SHOOTING RANGE
Cowboy Action is a multi-faceted shooting sport in which contestants use firearms typical of those used in the taming of the Old West - Single action revolvers, pistol caliber lever action rifles, and old pump, lever, or side-by-side shotguns. Several scenarios (Stages) are involved in each event, using both stationary and moving targets. Contestants dress in a manner representative of the Old West era, complete with their own unique alias. Cowboy Action has specific ammunition requirements, please check with range officers or shoot coordinators.

Main Ft Collins Office/Info Line: 970-482-7574 (leave message) PUBLIC HOURS: Friday 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm (sunset during winter months); Saturday & Sunday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (sunset during winter months). Please arrive at least an hour prior to closing to allow adequate time to shoot. COST: $15.00 per shooter for up to 2 hours, additional hours: $5.00/hour. Pawnee Members shoot at no charge. Members with Range Officer status who are also SASS Members may use cowboy range outside of Public Hours with special permission from range management. SASS (Single Action
Shooting Society) registered competitions are held the
4th Saturday
of every month. MAY thru OCT: Registration at 8:00 am/shoot starts at 9:00 am. NOV thru APRIL: Registration at 9:00 am/shoot starts at 10:00 am. SASS event cost is $12.00 per contestant.
